“Fly the Flag” Paddle Palooza and Bat Boxes
We held the Paddle Palooza on July 4th this year. We got a little wet this year, as rain showered us part way through. That didn’t prevent us from having fun, though. And it would appear we have a bit of a competition going on, as docks vie for attention and attract visitors by offering treats to paddlers.
When we dropped the food contributions at the food bank, we were greeted with open arms.
This year’s bonus addition was Bat Boxes. We have seen a reduction in bats in the past few years and are hoping to build up the bat community by attracting them with new housing.
