Well Loon Callers, we did it! We (and by we, I mean all those who participated) put on a spectacular Regatta and Corn Roast once again this year. Although we don’t have the numbers to prove it, by all appearances our attendance was record breaking.
And the weather was spectacular.
Many, many thanks to Erin Billinghurst and her crew for organizing the Regatta. As the pictures below show, there was a lot of fun to be had on the public landing, much of it involving exploding water balloons.
And many, many thanks to Jacquie and Mike Cane and their crew, who fed us wonderfully well at the Corn Roast on Saturday night, and left the landing site spotless once the event was over. Just look at these hungry, happy, and well behaved Loon Callers!
And finally, a big shout out to Margie Colquhoun, Brian Webster, Sue Murray and their crew, for organizing our most successful LCLCA Raffle ever! $1,435 was raised for the North Kawartha Food Bank. A cheque in that astonishing amount was delivered to the Food Bank last week, by members of your LCLCA Executive (and spouses).
